We will enjoy the ride and the views of the countryside of this rarely visited country.
Swaziland, a small, landlocked monarchy in southern Africa, is known for its wilderness reserves and festivals showcasing traditional Swazi culture. Marking its northeastern border with Mozambique and stretching down to South Africa, the Lebombo Mountains are a backdrop for Mlawula Nature Reserve’s many hiking trails. Nearby Hlane Royal National Park is home to diverse wildlife including lions, hippos and elephants.
Mbabane is the capital city of Swaziland, though parliament and the royal compound, Ludzidzini, are in nearby Lobamba. Surrounded by the Mdimba Mountains, it’s a gateway to Sibebe Rock, a huge granite mound with trails, caves and waterfalls. South, Ezulwini Valley has hot springs and craft markets. In Mantenga Nature Reserve, Mantenga Cultural Village re-creates 19th-century life with traditional huts and dances.
Manzini is a city in Eswatini, which is also the capital of Eswatini's Manzini Region. The city is the country's second largest urban centre behind Mbabane, with a population of 78,000. It is known as "The Hub" of Eswatini and lies on the MR3 road.
